I think that Antony is a bad guy, due from the speech that he made in front of the citizens. Caesar mentioned before in the play that Antony loves to party and he doesn't think too much. But a man who doesn't think so much, who party a lot, how could you know about EVERYTHING that is going on? I think that he was trying to put a act in front of Caesar so that Caesar can give all the trust to him and laster on, he can stab Caesar back because he is one of Caesar's closest friends.

Earlier on this thread, I posted that I think Mark Antony is a bad guy. After reading act 3, I changed my mind. He's the good guy! Also, he was the only character in the play that wasn't so fickle. He was really loyal to Caesar. (Like James said) When Caesar was alive, Antony stayed right by his side and after Caesar was murdered, Antony still spoke in favor of Caesar despite the fact that Antony was being blackmailed by Brutus and the others. I support Mark Antony!

i think Mark Antony is very clever he was loyal to ceasar but maybe for his own purpose, what i thought would be mark antony thinks that if he sticks around with ceasar so after ceasar dies he would gave his authority to antony and antony would to become the king for power, this whole play makes me think about that power is a very big role in this play.

Not sure where to place Antony. It'll depend on whether or not you think Caesar is made from evil stuff, if Antony's loyalty is misplaced, and if the conspiracy was neither the greater nor lesser evil, just the evil.
It's not like you can ever draw a fine line and stand on one side and say, "This side is white," then go over the line and say, "This side is black." Even if we evaluate him just on the results of his actions, we've to remember what he did was a reaction to what Brutus's conspiracy did.
I'm leaning towards a more honorable Antony atm, not evil. He seems to believe he is doing Caesar justice by killing murderers.

I couldn't really say if Anthony was a good guy or the bad guy throughout the play. All I can say is that he was loyal to Caesar and always had hunger for power. After Caesar's death, Anthony wanted to become an emperor and in order to do that, he needs supports from the citizens of Rome. In Act 3 Scene 2, after Brutus's speech, Anthony gives a speech to people, which seems like he's praising Brutus. However, his speech turns to criticism towards the conspirators for what they have done to Caesar in order make crowds rebel against the conspirators.

I think Antony is pretending to not know anything when he actually knows everything and maybe he already knew the plan all along and also was planning to rule the Romans? I think Antony is very "sly"

We could all learn a thing or two from Antony.
He's an amazing chessmaster.
Not the at the game, but he's good at manipulating people for his own needs. I think he even successfully tricked Caesar into thinking he was a harmless party animal on Caesar's leash. Also, he successfully manipulated his way from certain death-by-conspirator, although he was assisted by Brutus's stupidity.

I think Antony was loyal too because after the murder of Caesar he had the chance to join the conspirators but he stayed loyal to Caesar and he decided to avenge the death of Caesar.

Bad guy I think, because he acts humble and everything around everyone while caesar is still alive then after caesar died he turns into someone else

I don't think that Anthony is a bad guy, he was very loyal to Caesar. in the beginning Anthony was kinda playful, but after Caesar died he became really different, well cuz his trust was broken. Also Anthony is very manipulative, he can manipulate the itizens very easily, that's one of the bad things about him, well not really bad, I mean everyone has an evil side, and they can use it for the good or bad.

Welll...im not really sure he was a good guy or bad guy. At first, when i was young and heard about mark anthony, i thought he was a bad guy...however, now, im not sure...he was a great friend of caesar, who just loves him as a friend...but then he also loves power...so im neutral about him.
