Once you think about it, being optimistic isn't so hard. You simply have to see things in a different way. Then what examples are there of being optimistic? (Preferably examples from your own experience please~ When I get a cold and if i don't have a runny nose, I try to think about how lucky I am to have a clear nose. I remember how annoying it feels when my nose is clogged. So I try to be thankful for at least being able to breathe pleasantly.

When I read book, I predict the ending of the book and they are always happy ending with no one dying. I know this is kind of weird and dumb, no matter how sad the book is, I think of best outcome. I once read a book called A Boy In The Striped Pajamas. It was about World War 2, but I still thought that Jewish kid will live happily with German kid.
And another optimism I found in my life is that when I get to sleep for like few hours, I try to think,'At least I am sleeping more than normal Korean students. At least I am sleeping 4 hours.' Well, four hours night mean nothing to you guys but I sleep a lot. 4 hours of sleep is big thing to me. Anyway, that is how I think when something bad like less sleep happens.

Well I have few diffrent experience but most common one I have is in game. As mostly of you guys know i play sick amount of game and usually when i'm playing game I usaully tend to think optimistically and always think I will win a game and if I lose I think it was just bad luck for me. Another experience I had was when my swiming time goes down I actually think optimistically and think either I was in bad mood or I just didn't try hard enough and tell myself that next time I'll do much better with more effort on working out hard.

Every time before I take the test, I think "I can do it and I can get a good score." Even if I messed up my test, I don't think about it too much. I try to forget it for the moment and think "At least I tried my best" or "I can worry about the scores later. Sometimes, I feel so depressed that these don't work; but otherwise it is good to think like this because it makes me forget all the pain from taking the test.

I don't get to spend time with my girlfriend during the week except Sunday, occasionally. What more words can you say. But I try to be optimistic and it works. At least I meet her on Sundays, if I can. By this way, it doesn't harm ourselves, academically, since we don't get distracted that much. I also realize that my girlfriend and I actually spend a lot of time together, which is pretty surprising since she has a lot of priorities in her life. She's an amazing girl who tries to spend time with me! How lucky am I! Wow, I'm suddenly an optimistic person.

I really hate those moments when you suddenly wake up in the middle of the night for no reason. It throws my sleeping pattern out of whack and it's kind of hard to sleep again. Also, there are ghost rumors that if you wake up between 2 and 3 in the morning, there's someone watching you, and that makes it even harder for you to sleep.
However, night is the best time for thinking and I actually think a lot of really deep (in my opinion) things at night, so I guess i sort of self-educate at night? Which is a good thing if you think optimistically.

Same for me, when I take a test I will always try my best and if the score doesn't turn out good I will still be optimistic and think to myself that there are people who did worst than me and it is not the end of the world because if I study more and try more, and have lots of confidents then I will be able to do better next time.

wow... I think I'm really pessimistic following those examples up there...lol...For me, when i get a problem, i always think as i can solve it. I always try to see the problem in many side of sights, and think of many other ways that i can solve. hmm...in other words, the thing what i just said can be consider as "I can do it" <- simply XD

Well, I've heard that bird poo can be good luck. So if a bird ever poops on you just take it as a sign of good luck, Right Luke. If a bird poops on me in the future i will not be that sad. Instead i'll take it as a sign of good luck.

When i get a bad grade on my test or quiz, i always say to myself that i will do better next time and increase my grade. Although it doesnt help that much, i cheer myself up,which helps. Whenever i get a good grade after a bad grade, i tell myself that im super smart and that i knew i was gonna do it.

When I feel sad on my life, I will think" I can feel sad because I'm still alive.

When I have to wake up early I feel thankful I¡¯m not lazy. When I eat a food that I don¡¯t like I feel thankful that I am not starving. When I go to school I feel thankful I get new information and socialize with others rather than living as a poor person.
If we think for a short time, we can be optimistic.

To me, being optimistic is just to never give up and have high hopes of that you can live through the remainders of your lives with happy and exciting waiting for you. I gave up on may things, but I always thought that there are things that are also times that should be given up to lead to a better future.
