Out of all the books we've heard and learnt about in class due to the book projects, which one did you like the most and the connect the best with? Why? Did the book remind you of something else you heard, read, watched, or experienced? I liked the Outsiders the best, probably because I've read it before and I think it was the second book that I read: That book really depicts the differences we have in society among different groups. It also focuses on the discrimination and dangers of the extreme differences. Things like that often happen in real life. I think almost everybody can related to being an Outsider. What do you think?

Personally, I liked "The Last Lecture" the most. It could be because I've already read it before but I still believe it's a great book.
The Last Lecture is mainly about how a man who is about to die views life. For us it would be hard to imagine how it would be like to be in the main character's shoes since most of us have not actually faced death before. This book is great in the way that the main character talks about how it feels like and what he would do to make the best out of it. It is really inspirational and gives us an incentive to live our lives better.
Although there were other great books, this is my favorite because to me this book appeared to be the most helpful to us in guiding us on how to make our lives more special.

I like mine the most..haha.. although I didn't present it yet.. In my book, Tuesdays with Morrie, I like the way how the main character describes the life & death. He teaches a lesson about a life even though it has been like 16 years from now that the student graduated. And it has many many connections with me and the social media, because it basically talks about the life and every single life lives and dies. Also I like the book the giver. I think it's because I know the basic ideas of the story. It was similar to the harrison burgeron..

I didnt see the presentation, just knew someone was doing outsiders i guess Brandon. I really liked it because if you think who would invite some stranger into their house, i guess no one. They didnt reall have a fear maybe little at first but after the guy they letted in became part of their family, no one would believe that but it did happen. They even called him son and treated him like their own child.

I liked "The Blind Side" done by Brandon because from his presentation we could see that the book was about the feeling of a person who became a victim of racism. And that you can change a person with love and happiness.

I liked the book that Luke did. It was very appealing, the way he had presented it, it was very interesting and very creative. Maybe, for my next book, i'll read luke's book

I liked Brandon's book, The Blind Side. It's because I watched the movie and didn't read the book. When I watched the movie, I didn't know there was a novel but after watching brandon't presentation (video), I thought that I should read the book. The movie was really touching because the main character went through a lot of difficulties such as racism. It had been a little while when I watched the movie, so I should read the book someday:)

To me, I liked Yeajin's book, the Last Lecture. Before she presentated her book, she told me that she cried while reading this book. This made me feel that the book was dramatic and sad enough to make the reader to cry. To me, this was a great book to read because I was looking for a book that not only made me to have fun while reading it, but also to remember about it even though many weeks passed. So, I think I'll read The Last Lecture if I have the chance to someday.

I liked all the books so it's difficult to choose which one I liked the most. My book has connection with Charlie Gordon from Flowers for Algernon because other people can understand, or even belittle Charlie and the main character of my book, but the protagonists don't understand other people's feeling very much.
Oh, and I read Tuesdays with Morrie too. But my memory is very obscure because I've read it few years ago. But to make a connection, this book reminded me of Flowers for Algernon also because I thought Morrie was similar to Charlie.

I liked the outsiders too. Just like Ruchira said, its one of the best books that describes the problems of society that we have. Also I probably liked it because I read the book before and it teachest a very good lesson. All the other books that we have presented sounded fun and appealing but the Outsiders caught my attention the most and I feel like it had the most valuable lesson to teach among all the other books. I don't actually want to read it again but I will remember the moral of the story forever.

I couldn't really connect the my books to other people's books. But I could find my own connection with other movie or book that I have read. My book is an autobiography in World War 2, a Japanese immigrant living in America during this period.
I could connect my book with the movie called 'The boy in the striped pajamas'. This is actually a novel that I have watched as a movie. This is about a Child from Nazi family meets a Jewish kid and become friends. Since they are both young, they were not sure about what was happening in the real world. They became friend and the kid decided to help the Jewish kid finding his dad. So he sneaked into camp where Jews were locked and tried to help.
I could connect with my book and this story because they are both about World War 2 and both of protagonists are stuck in the camp. But I believe the Jewish kid's case is more extreme because there was Holocaust, which is exterminating Jews.

I liked Brandon's book, too.First, because I have known about this from watching the movie. Second, because it was lots of sport and how the main character solved his all difficulty. And, there were a lot of nice people around you, don't hesitate to help you such family, friends,....

Well, I actually liked all of the books that were presented until now. But the actual book that made me want to read it was Ruchira's. Sadly, I forgot the title of the book but I liked the way how the book was similar to "The Twilight" since it deals with vampires. Though I'm not a big fan of it, the story seemed to be interesting. Well, I also forgot what it was about. But anyways, Ruchira continued mentioning how inappropriate and humorous the author due to his writing style, which made me curious and actually want to read the book.
To add there, I love the book "The Outsiders," which I read it when I was probably in 7th grade. I feel sorry for people who didn't read it yet. It deals with conflicts between groups that people just make within the society. I like the way how it's related with loyalty and friendship.
Lastly, read my book guys. And don't watch the movie first.

I enjoyed watching everybody's presentations. However, for me luke's was the best . His movie was in a very creative way, the music was very amusing to both hear and watch. Also lukes book about magic and witches, reminded of a book called "Alchemist". it also is a book about two twins training to be magicians and try to save the world.

I like the book "The Blind Side" the best! I think it is so inspiring and I also watched the movie before. It reminds me that life is not over, we can over come things that sometime we think it is impossible to overcome. We will always get opportunities in life, and when we get that we should never let go.
