This is a really cool video that I want to share with you guys. Some people would've seen it, but I'm just sharing this to you because this just blew up my mind. When I first saw this I thought this was really cool because this is something that we don't see often. I especially thought that the spaceman was really courageous because he just jumped out of the little spaceship without hesitating. So, what do you guys think???!?!?!

OMG i saw this video too!!!!! I thought it was really amazing how equipment is very well developed and that with human's brain we can make something like that! I really wonder our world 1000 year from now on. I predict that we will be able to move to another planet and live in another planet if they find a planet that human beings can live on.

I have heard that Felix Baumgartner made a new record of freefalling, but this is a first time to watch an actual video of his process.
After watching this video, I felt that our technology is improving rapidly to achieve goals that were impossible long time ago and companies that are expert in specific branch can try something new, interesting and off-topic that no one did it before.
Additionally, this is an example where competition can result in a significant historical record. In this video, Red Bull, a company which makes energy drink, wanted to achieve unprecedented achievement. When they heard about high-altitude skydiving, they thought about it farther (and may felt envy and jealousness) and gave a conclusion to achieve supersonic skydiving. Their passion to achieve this goal resulted in success and new world record.
Competition, which is derived from jealousness and desire, is a main source of development and what makes people motivate to work harder.
If people from the movie Equilibrium watched this video (or something similar), then they would be awestruck and inspired that an emotion (envy) of people can help in development of their society. They would abandon banning the right to feel and start developing the new Equilibrium (This is only possible for people not taking drugs, such as John Preston). But too much competition is not good, because it will aggravate the conflict of people and next World War could occur.

I think that what Felix Baumgartner did was awesome and truly inspiring. It's inspiring because he just did something that people previously thought was impossible. When people do that, it motivates other people, who are just as enlightened but have less backbone than they do, to continue on that journey, to advance science even further. I admire Felix Baumgartner for his daring act, but I think I admire him more for the future advancements in science that will hopefully start because of his leap.

MINDBLOWNNNNN!!!!! haha but seriously. That's incredible. This achieve isn't a simple record breaking event, but its also an event that will inspire people in our society. Making things that people believed was impossible for centuries come true like the one we saw in the video will be like wake-up calls to the people who are being lazy and afraid to try. Other than that, just like everyone else would, achievements like these increase my expectations for future technologies and the advancements that we will get to see from now on.
Lastly, things like this really makes me question the limit of science. Where is the limit of science? of Technology? As years pass by, I am impressed more and more at the achievements of science.

Yeah, it's amazing. I want to try it if I'm one of millions of millionaires. This accomplishment is signaling us how technology is developing so rapidly and it's truly inspiring to know about this. Imagine our future, people. We will fly out space whenever we want to and hang out there. Technology will be dominating our society in both good and bad ways. Well, Esther's post is great indeed but I couldn't really connect this to any literature or things that we talked about in class. I think we can kind of connect to this to Harrison Bergeron since it deals with technology. So connecting with Harrison Bergeron, in my opinion, rapid development of technology isn't that so great. There's a possibility in which our society uses technology in a bad way like the way how we might develope a communist society (Equilibrium). This is an exaggeration but what if we develop a super spaceship that eventually attacks other planets in the future and cause a star war. I'm not sure if it'll happen but I think we have to consider the downside of this accomplishment. possible misuse of technology.

Oh my god!! this is so amazing. Actually I think I heard about that guy from the news that there is a guy who tried to jump off from like i don't know like above 100km, but he couldn't do it because of some weather situation. I think this video was taken after a few days from that. Anyways.. I thought that was so cool and amazing. And I really think that it takes a lot of courage to do those things. It's basically risking your life. You may die. I also have a connection with the guy that I tried bunge jump from the freshmen year grade trip. I felt really awesome. I think that's the reason why the guy did that so far as to risk his life. He is a really brave man I think.

THIS IS SOOOO COOL! I've actually heard Aziz talking about it in speech class and I first thought that.. How is that even possible? Because we all know by doing this he could actually die from it. He really did take a lot of courage to do this. If it was me.. I wouldn't want to do it! But it is very inspiring actually, it inspires me to do things that people think is impossible and to move on with life!

When i saw this, i thought he was gonna like get burned for falling so fast or like he would go another direction! I dont even know what this is about, but this is awesome It took him alot of guts to fall down so far away from land. If it was me, i would NEVER do this...

haha I watched this video too on youtube and I thought it was amazing. When I first saw this video I was surprised about how the man was bravery. I personally want to jump from high up in the sky and try how it feels. Before I jump, it would be really scary but once I jump, it would be a great experience. This video also taught me how the science is well developed nowadays. If he didn't have all the machines and technology, he could've not done this experiment.

Wow... I've heard about this, but it's my first time watching it. I think this is a challenge to one's limits and technology. I mean, no one would have dared to jump off from that high. I'm impressed how the person just jumped off, because it's a dangerous task. He might die if there was an accident.
