I think that emotions are vital to our lives. If we live without emotion, we'd be the same as robots, or pencils. Robots function, while pencils exist. With emotions, we are able to make decisions based on what we feel. We can do things that make us happy, avoid things that make us sad, and be with people who we love. That's what emotion brings to our lives, and differentiates us from non sentient beings.

In my perspective, I think emotions are why people live. Without feeling or emotions, its just like robots living for nothing, just like what you said, agnes. When I was watching the movie equilibrium for the first time, the concept that people were banned to feel was very shocking for me. Even if the emotions cause some crimes, I still think that people in the movie have rights to feel, because emotions are like a god's gift for us to feel and learn from the experience.
