I thought the story was interesting and it was fun to read. The wierdest part was how the left handed twin was born through his mothers armpit. I liked the idea of how they believed the world became equal.

I think its weird and interesting as well, but I'm not really surprised of "how strange" the story is because I've read lots of weirder story of other cultures O.o I kinda like the twins in this story because it shows us that a balance world have to have a negative and a positive side o.O

To me, it was interesting, and I liked some parts of the story such as the crooked and straight arrows because they reminded me of yin and yang of east. I also like how they explained the day and night, and balance of nature. But some parts I don't understand well, like why the grandmother of twins didn't like the straight one but liked the crooked one, and what happened to the people that lived way up above. Like sazad said, some parts didn't make any sense. How can a child be born through armpits?

The story is definitely weird but I found it interesting and not boring. (I think its style of writing weird things hooks people very well) these are not my words I read it somewhere i dont know where but i think one of u wrote it.

When I first read the story, I thought that this story is crazy.. haha I mean, some parts were very weird. But as we analyzed in our class, I could understand why the author wrote this story.

Hahahaha, Ruchira you are funny. And I really agree with that. When I first read this, which was in world history class, I was like, 'What kind of story is this?'. But when I read the full version, I found it very interesting to think of earth is turtle's back but I also found it very weird. Why is it turtle's back? Why can't it be one snail's back? They are similar, though!
Anyway, this story, like other creation myth, tried to explain the unexplainable, but I think it kind of failed. In the story, it still shows us unexplainable things. Such as it said there was no creature but there was sea creature. And to have turtle that big is impossible I think; we must feed the turtle with hundreds ton of shrimp and planktons. Like A sound of thunder, it had few holes that wasn't explainable.

I agree with ms boyd. I really enjoyed the story. It was very creative and imaginative. But this story was a little confusing to me because the story doesnt give specific names but rather give the right handed son and the left handed son and the mother and blah vlah. haha

i also think that the world on the turtle's back is a great story. of course its weird, but, it was very creative and very interesting. i am agreeing with many people about like the mother falling out of the sky and not dying, or, how children were born from armpit...that was really creative and weird at the same time.

I think that the story was alright, but some parts were kinda strange like the part where the left baby(?) killed his mother while she was giving birth. And like there were lots of symbolistic things in the story which made it kinda hard to understand the story well
