I enjoyed reading Harrison Bergeron, because it was easy for us to understand its concept and also within that story we had a plentiful discussion during class time!! I guess the main point of the story was to show us how the society inside Harrison Bergeron is very unequal. I believe that equality will never take place in our society.

I think to make an equal society, people should have the same rights. No matter how pretty or handsome you are, no matter how smart you are, I think people should be able to do what they want to do. It is not like they wanted to born like how they are right now.

Luke is making a series called, 'Looking over the old stuff'. Thanks to Luke, I don't need to make new topic. Yay! Until now. But anyway, this is one of the stories we first read, I think. And we had so many ideas; almost one third of the post in quarter one will be about this. But it was really interesting.
To make perfectly equal society, as Luke said, equal ability is important. But if I am the emperor there, I will redistribute the money first. Money is the one causing all the inequality and disorders. After that, I will equalize people's ability. As most of use know, everyone has different abilities. Like I am good at memorizing and Ruchira is good at acting. So I think the emperor should get a standard or rule that sets different ability to equal level. For example, I have to memorize 40 word everyday and above it, I should get handicaps to prevent this. For Ruchira, she can't act without saying properly or something.

I think there is always gonna someone more important than the other, thats just how life goes. I personally think that some people that are on top of other people its only because they have been working hard and just reached their goal, its not everyone but some of them.

what is most to making an equal society? well..thats hard because it really is impossible, just like what daniel says, to make everyone equal. i guess the emotions are equal...everyone is sad, happy, and alot of other stuffs. maybe people could have the same status...like no one is too rich or too poor...
