I think Hariison Bergeron symbolizes the most, cuzz author shows that there are people that are independent and wont listen to anyone but themselves. He is like an alpha i guess, so yeahhh, i think author shows him as courageous and independent person.

I agree with luke, i think its obviously the handicap which represents how the goal of making everyone equal is achieved by using handicap. Also, because of major theme (equality) i think theyre definitely related and therefore handicap is really important. I also think harrison burgeron, the title itself, is another symbolism, because of him the conflict in the story was intensified and all rebel thing started by him.

I think the handicaps are the main symbol in the story. The handicaps are used to make people "equal". They are forced to wear these if they are over "average".

I agree that handicap is the symbolism of this story. Other than handicaps, I have other ideas:
Dictatorship, communism, equality, perfectness Gun: power of dictator Death of Harrison: how dictators treat rebel Perfect equality: goal of communism

Well the symbolism in here is the handicaps, the standards of equality in the society of Harrison Bergeron, is the symbolism for how most people view the idea of equality.
