So finally we finished our midterm!!! Great job guys and I think my English midterm was so hard. I think most of us screwed up except for some smart kids. I can't believe we still have to write on the discussion board during the midterm week. I think we have to write every week but anyway so my point is...
What was difficult for you in the English midterm? Was it easy for you?
For me, I couldn't even finish compare and contrast part. I wrote similarity between pedestrian guy and dad in The marriage is a private affair is they are both MAN, which is really dumb. I heard some of you guys wrote they were old fashioned. Also "social revolution" in 19th century in Norway confused me since I think they didn't mentioned about social revolution. So I picked that but I am not sure. How was test for you guys?

Compare and contrast question was hard for me and I didn't finish it. I wrote some similarities between two people, but I can't think of three people.

C&C was a bummer, aye. MC were far easier and less numerous than expected; the cheat sheet didn't help much at all Just curious, how helpful was your cheatsheet? Mine had mostly facts in it, and the most helpful part of it was giving me the eight questions we had to answer for the six steps. Sometimes I wonder if the cheatsheet itself was intended not as something to help our test, but to help our review as a subtle, manipulation on Ms Boyd's part. Seeing how much some stuffed onto their paper, I can see how much studying they did that they might not have done.

Compare and contrast were hard for me, but the hardest part was the evaluation for 6 steps. I didnt really get the meaning of sonnets and first, sooo it was really hard to write the evaluation.

I think the midterm was better than I thought. Except for the 6 steps.. I couldn't really finish the last part evaluation. I felt like I could've done better if I had more time but it was okay!

First of all, my wrist was aching because of all the writing. Because of that, I grew tired and I think my handwriting became sloppy in the end. Sorry Ms.Boyd. Second, C.C was difficult to do since I couldn't find some similarities btwn the characters. So I didn't finish it. For the evaluation of 6 steps, I think I panicked a lot because of time and I messed up. I think my thesis statement was rather vague and broad. Oh, and the cheat sheet gave me little help. The only part I got help was the 10 questions and parts of literature (you know, the climax and resolution thing)

every thing was fine but the connections and the evaluation sucked cause i ran out of time and had to write a 3 sentence paragraph for each of my incomplete essays
