i've been reading this play and annotating it and oMG! it is so confusing and so dramatic. ok, ok, nobody get offended or mad that i do not appreciate this fine work by Shakespeare. i personally would much rather read a modern version of this play. it would be much more easier and fun. i also hope that maybe we can watch a modern play. KOREANS! RESEARCH! ok, i'll research too...yeah...so what are your thoughts on Julius Caesar?

I think that Julius Caesar is a man that is self center and wished to be in a world filled with glory where he is the only one who is concentrated by people and the governement.

I had trouble reading the Shakespearean English as well. But the activities that we did in class really helped me visualize and understand what's going on. And even better, I actually remember the plot enough to make connections to it when I see/ experience something. It is kind of hard when I read it by myself but slowly I'm getting used to it.

So far, it does look fun but it sucks that I'm having such a hard time trying to understand the whole story. I can get the general outline but I have no idea about the details n stuff, like the evidences, examples, etc. It would help so much more to understand the story by knowing these but I never got to know them while reading the actual thing. I always had to look up the translation and analysis of the play in sparknotes. But still, I think it's quite an interesting story to read.

Julius Caesar is interesting to me except that I should translate old English into modern English. Because of confusion in old English, I sometimes get wrong information and don¡¯t understand the message. Most of them were corrected after I referred to Sparknotes and activities we did in class helped me understanding the message.
