Brutus was not subconsciously evil because if he was evil, then we should¡¯ve seen great loathe toward Caesar, leading the conspirators, manipulations, or things even beyond these. But in the book, we saw Brutus was stupid and easily persuaded by conspirators. I think that he didn¡¯t report to Caesar because he thought that dictatorship was required to improve Rome (talking with him wouldn¡¯t work). On second thought, I thought that Brutus was too stupid to know this fact (I was wondering how he became one of the political bodies of Rome).

I think he is not evil person. He is very serious person. Before he decided to kill Caesar, he was very worried. He really loves Rome. So he killed his friend Caesar, for Rome. He is very serious person. I don't think he is evil.

I'll start this post off by saying how much I love Brutus's character and stating how desperately the guy needs a hug. His wife died! So did his best friend! And now his best friend's best friend is waging war against him while the ghost of his best friend cries 'HAVOC!'
Anyway, I can't say whether he's bad or good because he has done both good things and bad things throughout the course of the play, depending on whose standpoint you're taking. What I can definitely say for sure is that he's the most sympathetic character in the play.

hmm... In my opinion, he is good person, but used wrong method to working for Rome. He just killed Caesar because of the conspirators charmed him to do. If they didn't I believe Brutus didn't kill Caesar and persuade or lead him to the right way with Antony and Octavius because he is an honorable man.

Great idea for posting kevin! haha I think that Brutus is evil. Because the fact that he even killed Caesar allow me to think that Brutus is not a loyal friend. Even if Cassius had sent that fake letter to Brutus, Brutus should have talked to Caesar about it personally if Brutus was his true close friend. Obviously, Brutus had other personal feelings mixed and had accepted the "citizen's will" and had decided to kill Caesar. Honestly, if i was Brutus and the citizens had said something like that about my friend I would talk to my friend and see he/she is doing wrong for the citizen and help him/her by giving advice.

I think Brutus is just stupid at the same time good. So Brutus is easly tricked by cassius by the letter if you see in the play and he is tricked because he thinks all people in Rome is honorable as him which makes him think oh all Romans know how to read and write which show's he's all good and all nice but at the same time very dumb because all poor people don't have enough money to be educated like Noble people. So I think Brutus is more on good side in a bad way.

well..im not really sure about brutus. he killed his best friend for the good of rome..yeah i mean thats good...but then...if i was brutus himself, then i would NOT kill my best friend for anything. it is killing an innocent life, and i would not like to kill someone i cherish. He maybe evil at times, but he did have reasons for killing caesar, like caesar was getting out of control and wanting to take over rome, so maybe he had no choice but to kill Caesar.

I still think Burtus is good guy. He just took advantage of another people. In many parts of the article can be seen in the tangle of his heart.
