During class time, we talked about time traveling a little. I think I was the one who mentioned about the possibility of time traveling. But anyways, do you think time traveling is possible? For me, I don't really think it can happen. This might be a wrong way to think about it, but how can a single machine change the time like in several seconds and even take you to a certain, perfect timing. Even though technology might develop, my brain can't just accept the concept of time travel.
I'm sure some of you guys think time travel is impossible and why you think that way, since it's REALLY complicated. Or is it just me? What do you think?

Really possible. Travelling to the future is already proven possible. Traveling back in time is something I don't know enough to say about.
Travelling forward in time is possible when: A) You travel close to the speed of light B) You travel in a region that has extreme gravitational force (e.g. around black holes, or cosmic strings)
I don't remember any more. But time slows down when you travel close to lightspeed or travel close to regions of extreme gravitational pull. A second for you could be two seconds for someone not moving. In this sense, five years of your time equates to ten years of everyone else's time. That's travelling to the future.

Right now, time travel is partly possible. This is only when you got on to the spaceship that travels close to speed of light. When you finished years of traveling in space and returned to earth, it is about two hundred years after you left, while you aged one year.
As Kevin said time travels slower if you travel close to the speed of light.
But there are problems here. You cannot travel faster than speed of light because your mass (weight) gets closer to infinity and you don't have enough energy to travel faster than that. And if you travel faster than the speed of light, you are neither in past nor future; you are in fourth dimension. Plus, you are pulverized into millions of tiny pieces.

I think that time traveling is possible. Many people might think that it is impossible and that it is a silly idea because there is no way we can turn back time. But I think that it was what people also thought long time ago about the technologies that we have now. I think that in the future, scientists and other professionals will be able to create a way to go back in time because all of us wants to change what we did wrong in the past so that we can create a better future. But going back in time might also cause many disadvantages and might also put our humanity in crisis, because if the machine is used in the wrong hands, then we are all in trouble.

Time traveling is impossible. People will eventually dig out amazing discoveries, but time travel? Kevin and Daniel was right about "time traveling is possible if we can travel faster than light", but according to Einstein, there is nothing that can travel faster than light. In conclusion, time traveling is impossible. Einstein claimed that, the speed of light was the traffic law of the universe or in simple language, nothing can travel faster than light. It's a tricky question no doubt but it doesn't seem totally impossible. It's not like the machine needs to change time. It just needs to take its passengers through time. It just moves along the path of time.
It might just be that as humans we can't understand the concept of time. It could be just too complicated for us. Maybe time travel is already possible in this time of age but we just can't find out how to do it. Maybe it's meant for us to not be able to meddle with time.
We'd never know what's the true answer but to me, I just find it comforting to believe that time can't be handled with because if it can, then I'd never know if the life I'm living in is truly a life of my own without being altered by some person apart from my own time.

I think time travel is very much possible. I mean technology is evolving at a rapid pace. There probably will be some critics out there that might think that people should'not mess with time, like how some of us felt after reading this story. But, I think most people will go back and change major things in history like stopping Hitler or slavery from starting.

Traveling through time seems like a really remarkeable thing, but is there really any good in traveling back to time? I personally think that it is a bad idea to have a thing called time machine becaise there is always a possibility that you can change the future and it will gradully affect the lives of many people. It can change maybe a billionare to a begger, or it can be change the other way around.

I think it will be possible when they have time machine but it take long time to make it and it will be diffilcult to make it. It will be possible we are fasther than light. sometimes impossible can be possible.

I can't decide either Brandon. Time traveling is a really complicated thing there are different things that proves that time traveling is impossible and some that say that it is totally possible. To travel through time massive energy is required which is impossible to harness. And some argue that you can travel through time by traveling at the speed of light but traveling at will not take you to the future but it will make time slower for you.

I honestly think time traveling is impossible. Time traveling includes going to the past and going to the future. First of all, the future doesnt even exist. This is one of thing where impossible can not become possible. I doubt that even if technology is being developed at a rapid pace, it is quite impossible to become faster than the speed of light. And if and only if in the future, time machines are created it will be rare for everyone to travel time

I do think that time traveling machine will be created in the future, I am not saying that we humans will ever be able to time travel, because our organs are very fragile, they would get squashed due to the speed of the time machine. Even if they will create time machines in the future it will not be impossible to time travel in one piece because it takes a lot of speed to time travel and so yeah I don't think that time traveling is possible for us as humans.

Before I talk about whether time machines can be invented or not, I'll ask some questions: Why would people want to travel time? Why are they so eager about time machines? Frankly, I think time traveling is a silly idea.
In my opinion, time traveling would cause more trouble than benefit. The Sound of Thunder tells us how messing up with flow of time could result in a disaster. Other books, movies, or whatever media about time traveling are aware of problems time traveling would cause. Of course, these warnings are not credible because they are fiction, but I am sure that something would happen if people travel in time.
Well I think it is possible if technology improves enough to travel close to the speed of light, but I don't think people should try time traveling.

i think time traveling is possible well technology is developing faster and faster and they might discover something about time travel that will make it possible and end it up with a time machine in the future and i also think they will eventually make a time machine in the future who knows it can be possible.

Time travel is absolutely possible. It is already proved. Even though it sounds kind of stupid to just say, "Oh, time travel is possible," but there are many facts and evidences that proves that the time traveling is possible. Technology is developing super fast. And have you not watched any sf movies like Rise of the Planet of the Apes. While traveling the universe, they talk about time goes like fater and it it different as they move farther from the earth and blah blah. I can't explain you exactly what it is, but Im sure it is possible in somedays, or maybe I wish it to be happened. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a time traveling machine? You can see what really happened in the history in person not learning from the text books.
