As ms Boyd mentioned in class, street smart is knowing how to function on ur own in society. She also mentioned that we are all book smart because we've all received a formal education. My question is which one are u or which one are u the most? I would say I'm like 5% street smart and 15% book smart and the rest 80% is just......bygunnhdxghdgrs. So what are u?

I consider myself 15% street smart and 85% book smart because I really feel confident taking care of myself in the future when I'm in college and when I get a job, but I lack in social skills. I would mostly consider myself as book smart because I like to read books and solve math questions.

I consider my self dumb at both I guess because first of all I don't really know how to get along with other people. Seoncd of all I suck at studying and I don't really make sense in anything for example this reply I am typing right now probably doesn't make sense at all

i'd say i'm about 35% street and the rest book smart. honestly, i think i'm not that bad with studying just from a book (NOT BRAGGING) but yea, i do feel my limits when it comes to the things that have to do with street smarts. and it kinda depends on the situation too. like if 'm with other people, i tend to not feel as embarrassed or not confident as i'd be if i was alone. it's kind of the opposite really in the way that i'd be more of a transcendentalist when i'm with others. i just a bit more confident or careless i'd say.

I think I am more of an book smart but I do have a little street smart in myself. Even though by moving to Korea and living in a company isn't consider street smart but I do know how to take care of myself and how to get around, interact with people who doesn't speak the same language as me, organize my bank accounts and many more. When I'm sick I can go to the hospital myself and organize all of the documents when I need to do something without my parents and my company help. But of course I still need their support sometime but I am also a book smart. Since I go to school, study, do what is given to me and accomplish assignments. But I would hope to have more street smart in the future!

I'm definitely a book smart guy as everybody else is. I'm not sure if I'm street smart because I actually didn't experience living life out in the world by myself. If I get the chance, I would realize if I'm street smart or not since its intelligence is based on your ability to function in society. I bet most of us didn't involve in the "society" yet. Imagining myself, I think I would be a street dumb guy. But I can always learn stuffs from the book so...hahaha no...

So . . . we're assigning specific percentages to sector our minds now? Like, if I take a diagram of your brain
I can divide it like a pie chart
and label it with numbers.
Because I don't believe in such a strong distinction. It's not about what percentage of your intelligence is street or book smart, but how much of your intelligence you invest into books or streets. A good memory can be used to learn all about history or all about scamming people. An analytic mind can be employed to solve math equations or predict human behavior (and thus plot manipulations). A fast mind can be used for academic debate or smooth lies.
Now, if we're talking about physical strength, stamina, agility, etc. it's a new matter completely. But otherwise, I believe it's not a division of your brain, but how much and where you invest your time and energy.

I think I'm book smart just like everybody else is. I sometimes want to learn to be independent, since I'm always protected by my parents. I think it is sometimes good to learn how to be independent.

I think I'm 50% book smart because it's the only thing that I've been doing so far in my life. For the past 16 years of my life I went to daycare, kingdergarten, elementary, middle and high school. I think that makes me book smart. I wish I was street smart. I don't doubt that I can survive on my own but I just haven't done it yet. So I cant really say whether I am street smart or not.

I think I reside in neither because I don't think that I really know about society. Also I can't really call myself book smart because I do not really read a lot of books because I am too lazy to and that I am not all that interested in reading.

I think all of us are book smart that we have been being in school when we was a little kid. We read a lots of books ( any kinds), even you read something in the internet,... As ms.boyd said street smart is like you live outside there without helps. So I don't think all of us can do that, I can't but maybe someone.
